Public Health Researcher & Strategist

Translating a decade of frontline public health experience โ€” from pandemic response to neonatal health systems โ€” into evidence-based content that everyone can use.

About

Who I Am

I am a public health researcher and strategist with over a decade of experience working at the intersection of epidemiology, implementation science, and health systems strengthening. My work has taken me from frontline clinical settings to district health offices to ICMR-funded research programmes โ€” always with the same focus: turning evidence into action that improves how communities live and how health systems function.

I founded Health Awareness because the research that could change how millions of people understand and protect their health is too often buried in academic journals, obscured by technical language, or simply never reaches the people it was meant to serve. This platform is my effort to close that gap โ€” by applying the same rigour I bring to research and programme work to public health communication that anyone, anywhere, can read and act on.

Field Experience

Where the Work Happens

๐Ÿ‘ถ

Reducing Neonatal Mortality in Khargone, Madhya Pradesh

I currently lead implementation research and programme monitoring for the ICMR-funded Sankalp Project โ€” a multi-partner initiative targeting neonatal mortality reduction to below 1% in Khargone District. The work involves designing district accountability frameworks, building real-time monitoring systems, and translating field data into strategies that reach mothers and newborns at the community level. Every data point represents a life. Every framework we get right is a family that does not lose a child.

๐Ÿฆ

District Epidemiologist During COVID-19

During India’s COVID-19 pandemic waves, I served as the district epidemiologist for Chhotaudepur, Gujarat โ€” managing disease surveillance, leading outbreak investigations, and providing real-time evidence synthesis for health administrators when decisions had to be made under pressure and uncertainty. That experience โ€” of navigating a live public health crisis with incomplete data and high stakes โ€” shaped everything about how I approach evidence, communication, and the responsibility of getting the science right.
